Hi, I’m the Illustrator behind Doodle and Pips. Chief tea-drinker, executive studio creator and lifestyle doodler. I graduated from Birmingham Institute of Art and Design with a degree in Textiles Design. I live in the heart of the British countryside with our 3 kids and dog. Being surrounded by fields and woodlands is where I feel most creative. I love wandering off into the woods with a sketchbook or camera in hand and finding its secret hidden worlds full of little creatures and critters.

I also love getting lost in a good book, curled up in front of a fireplace with a hot cup of tea in hand.

  • Doodle

This is Doodle the cheeky, mischievous dodo, who is probably more cat then dodo, as he loves to find a good spot to sit, usually on top of Pips, the tortoise.

Here's Pips the chilled, easy-going little tortoise. He's always ferrying Doodle about on top of his shell.

The Story of Doodle and Pips

So far...

Where the Story Begins...

Once Upon a time there was a little Dodo named “Doodle” and a Tortoise named “Pips” and they lived happily ever after. THE END!

...only joking…That would be a pretty rubbish story, wouldn’t it!

It all started one lazy weekend, whilst sat at the kitchen table drawing with my children we started talking about animals and prehistoric animals. The topic of Dodo’s came up…a few doodles later, Doodle the Dodo was born. But he needed a friend...and that’s when Pips the tortoise appeared, with a very happy Doodle snuggled on top of his shell. Before long I’d drawn a whole collection of characters and started turning them into birthday card designs.

What began as playful doodles at our kitchen table soon grew into something more, and I wanted to share them with others…and just like that, Doodle and Pips came to life!

This is just the beginning.

...The Next Chapter...

I am so excited for this next chapter and to see what the future holds for Doodle and Pips.

If you’ve stuck around and read all of this, Thank you!
